26, 27 weeks

I am now 27 weeks prego and I am glad things are going fast! Only about 13 weeks left! This pregnancy is different then my first! I have little things like getting sick really easy and hip pain that i did not have with Ashley. If I sit too long in a hard chair ( like at church I get bad hip pain and my legs go numb.) Weird so I have to watch when I am sitting not to sit to long. Other in those little things everything is going good. Little man is always moving and kicking like crazy. I have a doctors apt yesterday and while trying to listen to his heart beat his was kicking the moniter away the whole time. I guess he did not like it and no matter where she would put it he would kick it or move it away.

This picture was taken at 26 weeks ( last week). Not the best picture but now that I am in the last trimester I will continue to get bigger and bigger. Only 13 ish weeks and I am glad but still have lots of stuff to get done first so I guess I better get on it.

V-day

Since Ty works nights and goes to school durig the day we knew we would not be doing anything on v-day. We decided to get Red Lobster to go on Saturday night and have a nice diner at home just us. We put ashley to bed a little early and have a nice diner. We were going to go out but plans did not work out so we decided home was just as nice. Tyler got me some chocolate and flowers on monday for a early gift. Ashley also got her v-day gift early. She got a slide treehouse for the backyard. She loved it and spent most of the afternoon on it saturday. She also got a ballon and chocolates from her daddy. My wonderful mom surprised me and sent Ashley and I a gift for v-day also. She sent flowers and a teddy bear and I don't know which one ashley loved more. She would hold the teddy bear and have both the teddy bear and herself smell the flowers and talk to them.

Tests

While being pregnant you seem to go thru a lot of tests; blood tests, ultrasounds, and of course glucose tolerance test! I hate and do not look forward to the glucose tolerance test! For those who read this and don't know what that is I will explain. It is a test where you go to the doctor or lab office and have to drink a pop of glucose. It does not taste to bad a lot like orange soda that has a funny after taste with too much sugar in it. So drinking it is not bad. After staying in the office for 1 hour you will get your blood drawn. This test tells the doctors if you have diabieties during pregnancy. If you fail this test you go back and have to do it over and stay and have your blood drawn once a hour for 3 hours.

So with Ashley I got sick and felt like I was going to pass out. Really dizzy and did not feel good at all. After a while it went away. Well with this baby I get sick really really easy so I was worried about what the reaction would be. I drank my drink and sat to read a book and wait my hour for my blood to be drawn. 2 mins before the test was over and I was going to be able to have my blood drawn I got sick. Running to find a bathroom before I thrown up all over the office floor only making it to a trash can. The office said it happens a lot with this test which I don't know if they were trying to make me feel better or if it really does. Well since my time was up anyways they went ahead and go my blood drawn and I was able to go home. If this had happened 10 or 15 mins before my time was up I was going to have to do the test all over again from the begining so I am thankful they were able to draw the blood. I do have a fear of having to do the 3 hour test though. If I can't make it a hour how in the world do I make it 3 hours? I guess we will see what the results will be pray it comes out ok! I am glad it is over for now!

As I was in our bathroom getting ready for church yesterday I turned around to find Tyler reading a book and of course Ashley wanted to read a book also. She had gotten one of Tyler's books off the shelf and pretended she was reading also. Could not help but grab a camera to take a picture! Tyler is a great example of reading ( I am not a big reader.) She loves her daddy.

Ashley
The month of January has been very busy with Ashley. First potty training which she is still doing really good at! She still has accidents if she get busy and during nap time since she refuses to wear a pull up during her nap! Night time she will wear the pull up but not nap time! She also got a big bed and she loves it! She got so excited when she saw it and all she wanted to do the first day was lay in her bed! She is the best and I do mean best little kid when it comes to going to bed. We were worried about how she would do with a big bed and if she would have trouble staying in the bed! Nope not at all! The first night she got out a few times and after about 15 min of fighting she layed down and went right to sleep. Everynight since she has gone right to bed with out a fight and has not gotten up ( or that we can hear anyways.) When we check on her she is in bed so it has been a very easy change so far.

The baby and I
Now I am going to get the baby stuff ready. Lots of sewing to do and I am excited to start and get that all done! I have lots of projects to keep me busy which is nice since I am not going to school this semester. The baby is due the same week as finals so I made the choice to take this semester off and get ready for our baby boy and have fun with just Ashley for now.

Tomorrow I will be 24 weeks or 6 months prego! I can't believe how fast it has gone some days and others I feel like I have been prego for a long time. All depends on how I am feeling. I pregnancy has been a little bit harder on me this time around and I have good day and bad days. I am excited to get things put together for the baby and feel like things are getting closer until then we are just going day at a time.

Tyler
Ty started back at school during the day and is still working at Boeing at night. We get to see him for about 30 min during the day. Ashley and I look forward to weekends when we can spend time with him more. I am very proud of him for all the hard work he is doing. This program will be done the begining of May and Him and us are very excited. He plans on continuing school for something else but this schedule will not be as tight as it is now.

BOY

Yep we are having a BOY! We found out this morning and we are very excited. I keep thinking of all the stuff I want to do and get done now! I will post ultrasound pictures as soon as I can upload them! Baby boy is healthy and everything looks great according to the ultrasound.

Christmas come and gone

We got the chance to travel to farmington, nm for Christmas. We got to see lots of family and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Christmas Eve was spent at my aunts Tammi's house having diner and the kids acting out the nativity story and playing games. Christmas morning we wake up ashley to open gift but I would say too early. she was very tired and wanted to keep sleeping longer but we needed to get presents opened before church. As we were getting the camera ready Ashley became very very mad that she could not go out of the bedroom. We let her go down the hall and showed her what santa had brought her ( a new trcycle). She was so made she wanted to just sit and cry and have a fit. After about 10 mins she decided she wanted her trycycle and calmed down. We started opening gifts and ashley loved it. She would open a gift and move on to the next gift before finding out what she got in the first gift. When she was done with her gifts she went around and helped who ever still had gifts to open theirs. She would even open the gifts that did not need to be opened yet.
We went to church with my family and then had a great family diner. We also went to Tyler's brother's house to spent some time with his family for Christmas. Ashley once again open up gift that were not for her when no one was looking. The rest of the trip was spent between Tyler's family and mine going going going all over the place. I am glad we got to see lots of family but wish it we could have stayed longer. Tyler wanted to come home and spend time just us before his has to go back to work. Our camera was not charging so by the time we got it working I forgot and did not take any pictures! Which after all it was done I am not happy about it but of well. All in all we are glad to be home but miss family but had a great Christmas!

Today I am 18 weeks and 4 days. I had a doctors apt this afternoon and everything seems to be going good. Heartbeat is strong and sounds great. We finally have a date for an ultrasound which will be Jan. 4th. or sooner if they have an opening come up! Finding out is like getting a late christmas gift! I can't wait. I love 20 weeks ultrasound and being able to get lots of pictures and really see the baby more. So they guessing continues if you have not done so already! Boy or Girl? We will see very soon!

Ashley has been talking more and more lately and I am thankful for the talking. She has always been a talker but now we can finally start to understand a little more. Her word for this week is Yes! She says it to everything. She loves to watch movies and tries to sing to the songs during the movies. She is really wanting to open up gifts and she does not want to wait any longer. We are excited to go to farmington and enjoy christmas with our family. I am sure Ashley will enjoy everything.

New dress

I decided to make a dress for Ashley this year and it worked out really well. It is a little big but that is ok. That way she can wear it for longer then a month or two. She loves to dress up so she liked having a new dress to wear!

Ashley does not like to take pictures and she sat still which is amazing! Finally able to get a good picture of her. (ps that is her cheesy smile)

16 weeks

Friday the 2nd of December marks 16 weeks or 4 months of being prego! I have an appointment next week and then we will get the apt to find out what we are having after that! I can't wait to find out! Tyler thinks it will be a boy and I think it will be a boy most of the time! Sometimes I think a girl but then go to thinking a boy. So I guess we will have to wait and find out for sure!

Thanksgiving and getting ready for Christmas

Thanksgiving we decided not to go anywhere and just stay home. Tyler works nights so driving thanksgiving day since tyler had to work the night before did not sound like something we wanted to do! We had our own little Thanksgiving diner (the first time I have ever cooked everything by my self in cluding the turkey.) We later went to my uncles house who lives in gilbert and went for a walk with him for the afternoon. I turned out to be a nice thanksgiving even though we missed all of our family that we did not get to see.

That night I thought I would go black friday shopping at walmart why I am not sure. I had some awesome things I wanted to get for Tyler. First of all I will never do that again. There was no parking and by time I got into the store it was crazy. There were no shopping carts so I asked this old lady if I could help her to her car and than have her cart after. Well we walked outside and the lady could not remember where she parked her car so we walked all over looking for her car. In the end she thought she needed to think about where she parked and wanted to go inside to think it over. In the end and 20 mins later did not find the ladies car and no shopping cart. I decided at that point to carry what I wanted to get and choose only one thing out of the three since there was no way I was going to carry all three. Got in line and got checked out really quick and left very quickly. Bytheway they stoped letting people into walmart because it had meet the max amount of people allowed in the store. Went home went to bed and woke at 4am to go do more shopping! I know I am a little crazy for some reason I love it. We only went to JCP and we were in and out within 10 min and we got everything that we wanted to get. Went back home and went back to bed.

That day we got the christmas tree up and ashley loved every min of it. I love putting the tree up right after Thanksgiving then i feel all the hard work and hours of putting the tree together does not just get taken down in a week or so. Ashley has to turn the lights on everyday and kiss all her ordaments that she can. She has left all the gifts alone under the tree so far which is amazing since she loved to open gifts. So we are almost ready for Christmas and I for one can't wait for it to be here!

Due date has been changed for sure now to May 18th 2012! We had an ultrasound to confirm the date due since I got pregnant so quick! (I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks after stopping birth control!) The ultrasound did show the baby was a little bit smaller so they moved it out 6 days! Which in my mind is not a huge deal. I have an appointment next month and the doctor is hoping than we will be able to do the ultrasound to find out what we are having! I can't wait! I do not perfer a boy or girl but I like knowing so I can get everything ready! If it is a girl than we are good to go! Boy well we have some shopping to do! I just can't wait to find out! So far we are doing good baby is developing good and looks good!

Halloween

We had a ward halloween party the saturday before and it was a lot of fun. Chilli cook off and lots of good food. Games for the kids and of course Trunk or Treating! This was Ashley's 3rd halloween but the first time we decided to stay and let her go truck or treating. She loved it. She said Trick or treat (some what) to the people and thank you every time. Our ward also does a pumkin carving contest and tyler own again this year! This what he did this year!

Ashley was little red riding hood and she loved her cape! She loved running with it. I made it early in the week and she keep asking to wear it.

Tyler and I choose to do 50's and I think it turned out pretty good!

On Halloween night I decided we would just stay home and hand out candy for the night and ashley had so much fun. She had to make sure everyone got 2 candies and she put them in the bags herself. Well that was until the older kids came looking really scary and then she ran away! Tyler convinced me to take Ashley trick or treating around our neiborhood. He had to work that night so he wanted to make sure she got to do it even if he could not take her. She had so much fun. We live in an area that a lot of our ward does also so it was fun to see all the kids from primary out trick or treating. She would run up to the door and hell trick or treat until they would answer the door after she would knock. We only went to 5 or so house and went back home and continued to hand out candy. Overall it was a great night and I am glad you was so excited about it.

Well if you have not heard Christiansen Baby #2 is on the way! We are so excited! I am due May 12 as far as we know. We had a Ultrasound done and the baby is smaller than normal so they might move the date up to the 18th so when we go back to the doctor in Nov she will decided the date for sure!

Oh and to tell the family we made ashley a t-shirt that said Big Sister In Training!

Ashley 2nd Birthday

Ashley turned 2 on Sept 5 th! I know almost a month ago! I have been really busy with homework and life and forgot to post! She had a kids birthday party the saturday before and we invited all her nursery friends to come swimming at our community pool. Sunday we had a small family birthday party since my mom and Tyler mom were both in town to celebrate with us. She seems to have a really good weekend and I can't believe she is 2 already! She is growing and getting bigger everyday.

Quick Family weekend Trip

Since school was starting again Tyler wanted to take a quick trip away! So we went to Long Beach, CA. It is about a 6 hr drive from our place which is not too bad. We woke up really early Saturday drove to Long Beach and spent the day getting to know the area since we had never been there before and going to the beach of course. Tyler and I and Ashley love the beach! Ashley and I did not care for the water since it was so cold! We also took Tyler's brother Jay who is living with us! He has never been to California or seen the beach so he was way excited to be doing so!

While at the beach Tyler and his brother were swimming in the ocean and I look over Tyler is on the beach and called me over to him. I went over just as the beach medical was coming also. He was in a lot of pain and blood was pouring out from his foot. I asked him what had happen and he said he had no idea what got him but it hurt. The beach person said he got stung by a stingray and it does hurt. Well they had to take him somewhere to put his foot in hot water but could not get the water hot enough so they sent us to our hotel to be able to put his foot in hot water to help with the pain. I have never seen Tyler in so much pain. Once in the hot water the pain got so much better. The life guard said that it is like someone taking a steak knife and stabbing you and pulling it out and leaving stuff in there that hurts worse. Well all in all it was a pretty good day! We spent the night walking the main pier. Here are some pictures of our weekend.

LA Temple! We wanted to a least stop and take pictures on our way home! Such a peaceful temple grounds. It is surround by city and busy streets but become so quiet once you enter the grounds. The picture before is Ashley on the temple grounds.

where has the time gone?

Wow it has been over a month since my last post! I was hoping that because I was home more that I would post more but so far that is not the case so here is a little update!

Tyler is busy going to school and work! He is gone Monday thru Friday from 7 am to 11pm! Not sure what his schedule will be this next semester but I am sure it will be about the same! We miss him and look forward to spending time on the weekends! He is such a hard working and I am proud to have such a wonderful husband.

Me, well I am staying home and making the most out of my time. Going to the gym and enjoying being a mom! I love being a mom maker and I love that I finally have the time to do so! My house is clean more and the laundry is done and I don't have to worry about doing it at night or on the weekends! I have time to do things I love to do and look forward to crafty sewy stuff I can do!

Ashley is great! She is so much fun and gets a lot of her humor from her dad (not too sure if that is a good thing yet.) She is always saying gross when she does not like things. She is very talkative and is very good at telling us what she wants, such as hungry or wants some juice! This weekend we finally were able to throw away the pacifier!! She cried a lot the first night but finally went to sleep and did fine. The next day we bought her a new doll for her to sleep with and for some reason it calmed her down and she has not had a problem with not having it at all! Her newest thing is her diaper!!! She hates to wear a diaper or anything for that matter! it is not that she wants to wear underwear or do use the potty chair she just like to take her diaper off! So we always have to check during naps and night time to make sure she still has a diaper on! She will wake up take it off and than go back to sleep! Not sure why but it has been a mess to clean up! So we bought a potty chair and we will see what she thinks! Any Idea feel free to share!!
She is very good little girl and i am thankful for her and the energy and spirit she brings into our lives!

Where have we been the past month? going going gone!
Ashley and I decided to head back to farmington with my parents after they were in AZ for the weekend! We stayed a couple of days in NM and enjoyed all our family! We got to celebrate Molly's birthday with her! Ashley loved playing and did not want to leave! We than decided to go with my mom to Idaho to see my brother Derek and his wife for the weekend. We left and drove the full 12 hours! I was not sure how this was going to go over! Ashley gets car sick and that is a long time to be in a car for a almost 2 yr old! She is awesome! We were able to give her something to help her not get sick which helped a lot. Movies got to love movies! She watched so many movies and she did not cry or get upset the whole trip! She was wonderful! We got to Idaho and enjoyed spending time with Derek and Amanda! They are such a cute family and I just wish we were able to see them more often and spend more time with them. We took a day trip to Jackson hole, Wyoming. It was such a pretty drive and a cute little town and we ate the best burgers there! We stayed for a couple more days with Derek and we headed from Idaho to AZ! Another long day of driving decided to stay in UT for the night and than continue on our way the next morning! All in all it was a great trip and it was the longest trip I have spent with my mom in a long time and I really enjoyed our time together! My mom ended up staying the the rest of the week with us so we spent 2 weeks with her! Ashley was sad to see her go and still asks where her Grandma is! I look forward to maybe planning another trip with my mom again!

4th weekend fun!

The fourth of July weekend is one that Tyler has looked forward to for a month! Saturday night we went down town Mesa for the Freedom Celebration! They close off main st for miles and have a car show and on the side street they have things for the kids with lots of food and things between everything. You would think being outside in Mesa, AZ would not be fun and did I mention we hit record highs that night, 118 degrees that day! Thank goodness for misters and fans that were covering the streets keeping everyone cool, and it really did not feel that hot! We walked the whole thing checking out all the cars and walked around the kids stuff! To end the night they shot off fireworks off the top of the buildings that everyone was standing under. We decided to get away from the crowd and went and found a grassy area to sit on and watch the fireworks. Ashley had a great time and she did get a little scared at first but than decided they were Pretty! She keep say pretty oh pretty the whole time!

Monday we had a BBQ and of course made homemade Ice Cream. We decided to set off a few fireworks off that night and Ashley was not so sure about those fireworks! The ones that were loud she did not like, all the others were pretty! All in all it was a great weekend!

Well living in AZ of course it is HOT! it has been around 112 lately! Most of the time I love the heat! Saturday Ashley got to go to her first pool birthday party that was not for her. All of her friends from nursery were invited. It was a lot of fun. We played at the pool for over 2 hours. Ashley had so much fun to have kids her age in the pool with her. Tyler and I got really burnt and are now paying for it! Ashley thank goodness only got her head burnt a tiny bit! We look forward to the time spent at the pool and are thankful to have a community pool we can use anytime we want!
on other notes Tyler got another Job offer and excepted. He will be working for Boeing! He is very excited and will start the end of this week! He pays way better than his current job so I am way excited for him! It is also really close to home so less to spend on gas!!! We have been blessed in so many ways and I am so thankful for all that we have been given!

Hello hello out there! It has been a crazy past month and a lot to update.

Ashley
She is doing good. She is teething a lot and not eating very good still. We are still working with her to get to eat more and different things. She loved pizza and yogurt, and always a great eater if pizza is put in front of her.

Tyler
He began a new Full Time Job a couple of weeks ago. He has not worked full time since Ashley was born. He finally after some thing like 8 yrs got to quit working at applebee's! He is working for ATC which i can't remember what it stands for and way to hard to explain what he does. All I know is he is fixing airplane parts! He is still going t school at night so he has very long days. He will be done with school next May. He loves his job and he is getting experience in the career field before school is completed which is awesome. Just better pay after school is completed.

Me (Brittani)
I decided to become part-time and asked my office manager to do so about a month ago. I was given permission and while on vacation was fired. So I am now a full time stay at home MOM! I have not been home with Ashley full time since she was 6 weeks old. It was hard at first to get used to. While Ashley was napping I found myself very bored. I decided to take up Couponing! I have already saved lots of money and I find it very exciting! I am so glad to be at mom and I am glad Tyler is working so hard so I can stay and home!

Trip to Farmington!
A couple of weeks ago we took a trip to Farmington for my little brother Dalin's Graduation. We had planned on leaving thursday during the day but decided to leave Wed night and surprise my parents.Which we did very well. Tyler was not able to go since he had work and school. Dalin Graduated Thursday night and it rained all day long. Yes we sat in the rain for graduation. It was cold also. We decided to leave ashley with Krystal my sister in law so she would not have to sit in the rain and be cold. The graduation was over quick since it was raining. Friday night we had a party for dalin at my grandparents. Good to be around family. In ways like family be close I miss living in farmington. Saturday we drove to Albq. and picked up Tyler at the airport since it was cheap to fly him in and went to the zoo for the day! Tyler's sister and family and my family got to go. Ashley and Kaitlyn had a fun time with each other and seeing all the animals. All in all it was a good weekend. (besides getting fired while there)!! Can't wait to plan our next trip to back to farmington again! So Glad my brother graduated!

4 yrs ago today Tyler and I were married. I am so thankful for Tyler and all his has done for me. Thanks babe for the best 4 yrs. I don't know what I would do without you!

18 months old

Short update: Ashley had her 18 month old check up! She is 20.2 lbs and 33in tall. So still tall and skinny. Her doctor is concerned she is too skinny for how tall she is! So she is on a fat diet! Eat and drinking lots of calories to try and get her weight up! As we explained to her doctor she eats a lot but I guess she needs to eat more fatty foods! So pedisure, whole milk, and lots of snacks! She is learning and growing more each day. She has a big vocabulary and she learns a new word everyday! She tries to sing the spongebob song at the beginning of the show!(which i don't care for but Tyler and her watch it during the day while I am at work.) She still loves Tinkerbell and would watch all three(soon to be 4) movies all day long if we would let her! She loves to write on the sidewalk with chalk and color! She loves books and loved to have a book with her all the time. She is a bundle of fun and I can't wait to be a stay at home mom with her as soon as Tyler is done with school!

Trip to Utah

Tyler grandma who was one of the nicest ladies I have ever meet passed away, so we got to take a trip to Utah! She was sick and the whole family was glad that she did not have to suffer for a long time. This funeral made me really really grateful for the plan of salvation and for belonging to the true church. She was a great lady and you could tell how much she was loved and I am grateful to be part of that family. I am glad that she was finally united with her husband and family that has gone on before her. We were grateful for the opportunity to see all of Tyler's family. We don't get to see his brothers and sister very often. All the kids loved playing with each other and boy are there a lot of girls. 5 girls all under 2 and of course 2 boys who are older, who had a great time playing football with Tyler and his brothers.

We also the the chance to visit Tyler's good friend, who he served the same mission as, and his family. They are some of great friends and we wish we lived closer to them so we could hang out more often!! They have some really cute kids and Ashley loved hanging out with their little girl a lot. We needed more time so we could stay and play for a week, that would be nice.

We decided to not drive the 12 hours back in one night like we did on the way up, so we stopped and stayed in Las Vegas. Tyler's brother Jason has never been so we had a good time walking about and see all the light. Tyler and Jason even rode the ride at the Stratosphere. All in all it was a great weekend and we were glad that we got to go. Below are pictures taken while in Vegas and of the new bridge over the Hoover dam but others we forgot the camera so I will post if we get copies from anyone!

well the Christiansen are finally feeling better for the most part!
Tyler is still a stay at home daddy! He remains home with Ashley during the day and goes to school at night! He is almost thru midterms and he will be half way done at the end of this semester! He is excited to be done and start working with airplanes!

Brittani-(me)- going to school part-time online (just 2 classes) and it is hard but way worth it! I forgot what it is like to be going to school again. I forgot how hard it can be too. I still work full time for an orthopedic surgeon during the day. I love my job but love to be a mom even more and can't wait for Tyler to be done with school.

Ashley- is crazy and funny and full of energy. I love that I don't go a day with out smiling and laughing with her. She loves to talk on the phone to anyone (even herself)! If you give her a phone she will talk your ear off. I have no idea what she is saying it is so funny! I have tried to record her talking but so far no go! She loves Tinker Bell!!!! She will watch Tinker Bell movies and she is quite and sits and wants to watch the whole movie! Makes it nice when I have a lot of homework to get done!! If anything has Tinker Bell on it she wants it too! She gets excited and will kiss it and say ohhhhh! She is growing and getting bigger and her hair is finally getting longer! The mullet look is not as noticeable. She will be 18 month old in March. Can't believe it! But NURSERY HERE WE COME!!! She has been going in for a little bit to get used to it and so far so good! So when March is here she can stay and mom and dad can continue teaching our lesson without interruptions!

Sickness!

Sickness has hit our house! Tyler has been sick, Jay (Tyler's brother who is living with us) was sick, and now Ashley is sick and of course I caught it last. Ashley got it the worst though. Sunday and Monday night we did not get any sleep cause Ashley was up all night with High fevers. Like 103 high. Since it went on for over 24 hours we called her Doctor and asked if they felt they needed to see her. Since she was not really showing any other signs of being sick I was not sure what it was going to be. Meeting Tyler at the doctor she was a little stuffy nose and not much more. Test came back and she came up positive for the FLU! The next two days were hard. Tuesday night the flu hit hard. Everything came all at once! I am just glad she is doing better now and started to act more and more like my happy girl again. The #1 question I have gotten from every one or at least the statement is why did she not get a flu shot!! The big reason is she is allergic to eggs and can not get one!! Poor sick girl but I am glad we got it caught in time and it was not worse than it could have been! So when everyone starts feeling better I will post more and catch up!

I have decided to set some goals that I would like to do over the next year or hopes i would like done at least.

Read the whole Book of Mormon over.
Take and complete college classes.! Signed up for 1 so far in process to sign up for another! Starting out slow have not gone to school in over 6 years, and I don't have much time! Plus I can take my time to get my degree!
Tyler will be able to get a job or internship by the end of the year!! Or I might have to wait until May 2012 but we will see!
We would like buy a new vehicle!!
Take many trips to farmington, only went 2 times last year ( I know seems like a lot to most people) but I would like to go more!
Cook more and come up with more things to cook!
Exercise more which I know seems to be a new year thing for everyone but I have been working on this for a while! Just got an exercise bike for it is slowing getting better!
And last but not least that I can think of right now! Maybe add another little one to the Christiansen family! We will see what the lord has in store for us!

Wow where did last year go! Here is 2010 in a short glance!
Ashley grew and grew and went from my baby into a little girl! She was 4 months old in this picture! We also welcomed three very cute little girls into Tyler's family! Kaitlyn, Violet, and Scarlette! We loved going and spending time in farmington for those girls blessings!
While in Farmington Ashley came out with the chicken pox! This is what she looked like a couple of days after getting back from our trip.
We spent the 4th in Mesa and had a great night down town mesa!

We found out that Ashley has food Allergy's and she is allergic to peanuts and eggs!

We got to go to San Diego and spend a day at seaworld and on the beach. Ashley turned 1!!!
We were able to enjoy all our wonderful family in Mesa for a Cooper family Reunion!
Ashley got professional picture for the first time which was also in her Halloween costume!
Tyler continued school and in the fall finally started doing the program which is will complete! No more basic classes. Only 1 1/2 year left! He will be done with school May 2012!!

We had a wonderful Christmas and year and can't wait to see what this next year has to bring.

We went to walk around the Temple with all the christmas lights! Ashely loved all the lights and we had a great time! I loved that it was only like 60 degrees and we are able to enjoy being outside at night and not be freezing cold! Here are some pictures of our night!

Cooper Family Reunion 2010

Well for the first time in 8 years we had a cooper family reunion. This is my grandpa Coopers family. We used to do the yearly and have not done them since my great grandma Cooper died. My grandpa's brother Steven died from a heart attack last year and I think it woke all of us up and we knew we needed to get together more often! We decided not to make it big and just spend the time talking and hanging out since we have not seen each other in so long. Everyone came here to Mesa, AZ and had dinner and lunch and hung out at our house. It was so nice to have all the family here in our home. Here are some picture from the weekend. We decided to go to the cemetery since we were all getting to together on Great grandma birthday it would only be right to remember her memory.

Talk to her doctor about allergies and we will get her tested soon! Just hoping we can find out what it is and than she can try to grow out of it.

She is walking, and falling and yes we have already had a couple of goose bumps.
She can go up and down the stairs now.

she is a great eater and sleeper.
we now at this moment have 5 teeth. 1 more is trying to break through. So 3 top and 2 bottom. And all the top came in the last 2 weeks.
she talks and talks and talks. I don't have any idea what she is saying but she talks.
she loves, loves music. Any music no matter were we are she will start to dance. Church included.
overall she is a great little girl and I love every min. with her.

Well I finally have a chance to get on the computer and write about Ashley's Birthday party fun. We had a wonderful cake and ice cream, swim party with friends and family on the 4th since her birthday was on a Sunday. It was a great day. Ashley loves having everyone over. Since Ashley has been having so many food allergies I decided to make her cake myself. Oh did not work! She had the worst reaction ever to her birthday cake. So during the opening of gifts she was not feeling well and really did care too much. We decided to take her swimming and it worked. The reaction went away and she enjoyed herself a lot more. When we got back to the house she was so excited to see her gifts. Here are some cute pictures of my girl!

Ashley is now 11 months old as of last week! She is walking but know crawling is faster is she is in a hurry. She talking all the time. She likes to say mommy and daddy and copy what we are saying every once in a while. She is so much fun and always has lots of energy! We are in the works of planning her 1st birthday! It will be Saturday Sept 4th at our house at 2pm for those who live near! Invites will be coming soon!

Where have I been the past month?

Sorry I know it has been a while since I have posted so here is a little bit of catch up!

I know we have not post a whole lot about anything but Ashley so here is more about the whole family!

Tyler is starting the Aviation Maintenance program in Aug and he will only have 1 1/2 left to go and I can't wait. He will continue to be a stay at home dad and he will go to school at night and will not be working!

He is really excited that a end is in sight and we are excited for him. He loves to be home with Ashley. He is still drawing but he is having a hard time finding time now a days. He is still a scout leader for the 11 yr old boys but he will not be able to continue once he is in school due to school.

I am still working full time for a doctors office and I love my job. I am way excited though to be done and be able to stay home. I am still making bows and sewing when I get a chance. I love crafts and I always look for my next project. I got new glasses and a new hair cut and I am feeling good.

Ashley

She is not 10 months old- sorry I missed that post.

She is changing and developing and I can not believe it.
She is a talker. I have no idea yet what she is talking about well most of the time. She has the sweetest voice and we enjoy her little voice. She talks all day long! She can say mommy and daddy and believe me she says them both a lot. She trys to say words here and there. She like to say Jay which is tyler's brother who is living with us. She is crawling everywhere and she is fast. You put her down and two min later is in the other room and trying to go up the stairs. She loves dogs and loves to have them around her. She still only has two teeth but it seems like she is teeth almost everyday now! She is eating really good and loves to eat whatever we are eating.

4th of July

We decided to stay here in Mesa and not go to farmington since Tyler could not get off work! We went down town mesa where they were doing a car show and lots of stuff for the fourth and than fireworks later. We really enjoyed our night but we did not make it to the fireworks they were just too later for Ashley who was getting tired. So no fireworks for her this fourth of July, but I did make homemade Ice cream so the fourth turned out ok even with out farmington.

Family in Town

my parents and little brother came to town this past week. It was really nice to have them staying with us. We got to do lots of fun stuff and mainly just hang out. Tyler says he will never go to golf land swim park ever again! We got to go to a wonderful baby shower for my cousin on Saturday. Ashley enjoyed having them here and she was sad to not have them in our house anymore. Can't wait to see them again!! Love them tons.

9 months

9 Months old Ashley is now 9 months old! She is growing and growing. We had her 9 month old check up today and the results are in.... She is now 16.12lbs and 28 IN. She is still long and skinny!! She is such a happy girl and I am grateful for her in my life.

She has two teeth.

Crawling and getting into everything.

Sitting up a lot and does not want to lay down at all now!

Pulling to stand and walking around things.

She loves her stuff animals and she loves to give them kisses and hugs! So cute!

She is figuring out new voices and sounds. Which include DADA and MAMA!! DADA was first of course!

She is still a great sleeper and we are thankful for that!!

She loves to give kisses and I am grateful to get ten or more kisses when I get home from work. Lets me know I was truly missed.

She is one happy smiley little girl and I am so happy to say she is mine forever!! Only 3 more months and she will be one and I can not believe it!

Weekend Fun!

Tyler and I were supposed to go to farmington for the weekend for Tyler Simkins baptism but we were not able to go! We missed a lot of family and we were sad Tyler was not able to get off in time.

Since I had Monday off and Tyler had to work we decided to leave after he got off work and take a trip to San Diego. We decided to go to Sea World which was so much fun and Ashley loved seeing all the animals. I think her favorite was the whales; Shamu! We even got her a stuff toy to bring home to play with. We had been planning this trip for the end of this month but we decided to go and make a fast trip so maybe the end of this month we will have time to maybe go to farmington. We also got to go and play on the beach. Ashley loved playing in the sand and just wanted to crawl to the water! She loves water so I was not surprised she wanted to go into the water. We enjoyed our little short one night trip but we are glad we got to go as a family.

Tyler and I got the chance to go to a Diamondback game. I have never been to a professional sporting event before. It was so much fun. We have some friends with season tickets and we got to go and sit in box seats and enjoy the game. We meet up with our friends and ate at the TGIF in the stadium which is in the stands which is over looking the field. It was the coolest restaurant I have ever eaten in. It was also the longest I have been away from Ashley. We were fine but Ashley was not. My wonderful mother was watching her but she likes her mom and dad a lot and does not like to be away from us very long. All in all it was a wonderful night.

My wonderful mother came to town for the weekend which was nice to be able to spend mother day with my mom here with us! Thanks again to my mom for watching Ashley and coming and spending the weekend with us.

8 months old!

Ashley was 8 months old yesterday!! Wow I can not not believe it! What is doing now let us tell you!!!!

Crawling everywhere! She army crawls most of the time because we have tile and she can slide and go faster. She has crawled on all fours but like to army crawl more, that way she can grab at a toy and crawl at the same time.
Pulling up and standing up on everything she can. She loves to stand and put her elbow on the couch and watch TV. She is getting scary.
Sitting by herself no help needed. She can go from standing by the couch to sitting and than crawling back to sitting. She is so strong.
Loves her baby food and would prefer it over the bottle most of the time. We have given her small bits of finger food here and there and she loves to be able to feed herself.
Still sleeping really good. Goes to bed anywhere from 8-9 and wakes up at 5-6 for a bottle which i give to her and she will fall right back to sleep.
She loves water. She loves to go swimming and to be in water!
Her UTI is all gone and we will be following up on that in a later date to make sure everything is still flowing ok! Her chicken pox are still healing and the red spots are slowing going away.
She loves to talk and sing. She loves her mom and dad and she is doing a lot better with people.

All in all is one great girl and we are so grateful for her and the Joy and happiness she brings into our lives!

Swimming!!!!!!

We decided to buy a three foot pool for our back yard! We got it all set up and Ashley got so excted the min. we started to fill it up. She loves water so I was not suprised. It was 91 degrees out so we decided to go for a swim. Well she loved it. We are excited to have a pool to play with ashley in! We do have a big community pool but this just makes things easier for us when we just want to play with her.

Chicken Pox

or as ty calls them poka dots

So we notice last friday that she had one spot and we did not think any thing of it since she was on antibotics I thought she was having a reaction to her meds. Not a allergic reaction just a skin reaction. I get reactions all the time to antibotics so I thought she was the same way. Sunday She got a few more not very many though. Sunday night though was a different. She was completely broken out. Yeah the drive home she broke out completely. She was already going into the doctor on Monday for her UTI so we did not have to make an apt. Doctor confermed the chicken pox. The bad thing we were around a lot of family all weekend. I am sorry to all those who were exposed to the chicken pox.

The good thing is that we are at the tail end of it now and she is now healing. No more iching and all that comes with the iching. The bad thing is we did get the UTI checked out because to the chicken pox so she has to stay on Antibotics for another week until we can get everything check out.

Weekend in Farmington

Well we got to go to farmington last weekend to see lots of family for the blessing of three really cute little girls! Tyler's Brother Joe and his wife had twins ( the two on the ends) and his sister had a little girl also ( in the middle). It was nice to be able to do all three in one weekend.

We drove and got into farmington at 1 am (12 our time). Ashley of course after being in a car for a little over 6 hours wanted to play. So we got to play and stay up for a while. Friday I got the chance to take Ashley and got out to eat with the girls for Maquels Birthday!! (by girls I mean my mom, grandma, Tammi, Maquel and Molly.) Friday night we spent at my grandma paulsons playing games. Saturday we went to Joe's house to get together with all of Tyler's family for lunch. It was nice to see aunts and uncles and cousins we don't get to see very often. It was fun to see so many girls there! There are a total of five girls which were all born with in 10 months now, and of course Jaden and Jordan some of the cutest boys ever. Saturday night we went and meet up with the Whipple's which is something I always look forward to! and also we meet up with Tyler's dad. Sunday we went to kirtland and bloomfield for the three blessing and than headed home.

I got really sick on the way home and ashley was sick ( See other post) also so the ride home was long and it took forever to get home. We were glad when we made it home. We were glad to see family but it is nice to be home now it is time for family to come visit us!!!!

My Poor Sick Girl!

Well it has been quite a week here! I should say month. Two weeks ago I was in the ER getting my foot fixed and I guess Ashley got thought she wants a chance!

On Tuesday night Tyler and I were getting dinner together before he had to leave for class. I realized I did have something needed to finish dinner. Tyler ran to the store (which is across the street and I think he even walked). Ashley was in her walker and she started to laugh. I looked down and she was covered in throw up and was playing it. Not just a little amount, covered in it. I grabbed her and took her cloths off. By the time I got her shirt off she began to throw up some more. I am so glad now that we have tile floors down stairs. She also had a fever so I rushed her upstairs and put her in a cool bath. So Tyler came home to throw up everywhere in the kitchen. This whole time Ashley was laughing except when throwing up she did cry than. I got her out of the bath and thought she most have ate something that did not agree with her little belly. And the throwing up began again, and again for about 45 min and she began to dry heaves. Tyler and I decided to take to the children hospital because of the amount she had been throwing up.
By the time we got to the hospital it was all smiles and she was laughing. I almost wanted to go home 2 times. The Dr. came in and did some tests and said well your daughter had a UTI. ( Urinary Tract Infection) They gave her a shot and some meds. UTI are not common in babies this young. We were at the ER until about 1am getting all the test done. We followed up with her doctor the next day and more tests will begin in a couple weeks. They are going to check and see if she is having liver or kidney problems. UTI in babies this young can be a sign of something else. So I am hoping and praying it is nothing and she will take her meds and that is all and everything will be fine.
She is still a great baby. She still laughs and sleeps all night. She does not even act sick(beside the pain and diarrhea) Poor thing. And the Meds are so nasty smelling so I am sure they do not taste that great.
We will be updating every one when we have more tests done!

So she is still growing and she is growing tall. She is growing and learning so much lately. She can not do a army crawl and get her where ever she wants to go. She is a very happy baby and I am very thankful for that. Skin problem has almost completely cleared thank goodness.

My check up took us to a fun filled afternoon in the ER. I got a sore on my foot and did think anything of it. It showed up at the beginning of the week and it has begun to get worse and worse. I work for a Dr so he started me on some antibiotics thinking that was all that was needed. Nope woke up and my foot was swollen and you could tell I had an infection on my foot. So I got sent to the ER to get it cleaned out. I got a big needle put into my foot which hurt so bad. I would rather have another baby than go through that again. The opened up the spot and cleaned it out and cleaned it up. I left in just as much pain as I need entering the hospital. It feels much better now and I am glad I finally got it taken care of but man did it hurt. Feet and Needles just do not go together well. Ashley just laughed the whole time she was there with me in the ER. I think she knew I was getting paid back for all the shots she had gotten.

No more Doctors and no more needles for a while at least.

Night Time or Play Time?

Well Ashley has gotten the stage where she knows that it is bedtime but she does not want to go to bed. Last night like every night almost all week! Ashley gets really tired and starts to rub her eyes and gets a little upset at everything. That is our sign to put her in the bath and get her ready for bed. (she loves her bath and she can be in the worst mood and a bath makes her happy.) I brought her downstairs and feed her and she was out. I carried her upstairs like I always do which wakes her up a little! Which is good so than she can roll on her side and go to sleep again in her bed! So not last night though. She rolls over and laughs. I get to where she can not see me. I was waiting to see what she does and weather she will go to sleep? Nope starts to get mad so I get her out and start to rock her back to sleep and calm her down. Nope not Ashley she would not stop laughing. I take her down stairs, where Tyler is watching TV. She continues to smile and laugh the whole time and for another 30 min. Tyler and i did not look at her or play with her. She just keep laughing. Finally she just laid down and feel asleep and I was able to take her and put her in her bed. Tyler and I laughed after it was all over. I am grateful for a happy baby.

6 Months

6 Months Old Tomorrow

I can not believe she is 6months old. She has grown so much over the last months and has changed is so many ways.

She can sit up by herself most of the time. She gets so excited about her feet and tries to eat them and starts to fall over.
Hair is coming in a lot more lately. It sticks up everywhere but it is growing.
She had grab a toy and move it from one hand to the other.
She still loves to take a bath but has tried many many time to put her face in the water. She loves water and it does not bother her to get water on her face at all. It will be fun to be able to take her swimming.
She talks all the time. I think she tries to sing when ever someone else is singing. During church and we are singing a song is when she really gets excited and starts making noises the most.
She had roll and boy does she love to roll. She thinks it is funny to roll right as you are taking her diaper off. Something about not having a diaper on really starts to make her laugh.
She has move in her walker. She pushes herself backwards until she can't anymore.

Ashley is 5 Months old today! Wow how time has flown.

She is rolling over from her back to stomach and from stomach to her back.

She always wants to be sitting up and she can sit up by herself for about a min.

She can grab a toy and bring it to her!

Everything still goes into the mouth.

She loves baby food well most of it anyways. She does not like green beans but likes almost everything else we have tried. The green beans we will try again later.

She is getting more hair it is just blond so you can't see it so she still looks bald in pictures.

As I tried to take milk out of my diet and it didn't last long and I did not see a improvement in her skin. Within weeks after I started drinking milk again her skin started to clear up!!

She is still attacking her head. When she is bored or frustrated(when she wakes up in the morning) she stretches her head. She is learning to have socks on her hands all the time!!

she is talking all the time. She is into yelling and hearing her voice.

She is so much fun and I have enjoyed her being in our lifes. She really loves her daddy too and Tyler is enjoying be able to be a stay at home dad during the day!!

Screaming and Playing

Well in the last couple of days Ashley has figured out how to scream and she likes to hear the sound of her voice. When she is mad she is screaming when she is happy she is screaming! Crazy Weather

Well this has to be one of the craziest winters for weather both her in Mesa and in NM!! We are sitting right now in Mesa, with a Flood Warning, A Severe Thunder Storm Warning and of course a Tornado Warning. What is going on here in Mesa. It has rained all day since 10am this morning and is not suppose to stop until tomorrow night!! So far no flooding in our house just lots outside! And the thunder has not been loud enough to wake Ashley up! And NO NO Tornado!!! Thank goodness. New Mexico is hitting a high record of snow and all I have to say is I will take my rain over the snow!! We miss family but not the snow right now!! Well I am ready for the warm weather!!

Well today was Ashley's Four Month Old Check up and she is doing great!

She is growing and getting really strong. She is still having problems with her skin and the doctor now believes it has a lot to do with milk! I am to take milk out of my diet and see if her skin clears up!! We are also to start her on a oatmeal bath to help her skin not be so dry. We will see what helps!! She is our little angel and we love her!!

Oh and we got four more shots and well she cryed the whole way home and would not calm down. The crying began when the doctor and nurse entered the room! I think she knew what was going on and she got mad. Poor thing. It is funny she hates shots but with the ears peircing she barely cried!!

Well we decided to suprise my family and didn't tell them what we did a couple of weeks ago!!!

Yes, we got Ashley's ear pierced! It was really hard to decide to go and have it done but I am glad we did it! She didn't even really cry at all and she is still not affected by them at all!! I have heard from a lot of people what they think!! I think it is cute and I am glad we decided to have it done! Here are some really cute pictures of her!!

Well Ashley is about four months old now! She has changed so much and we have enjoyed every min we have with her.

She is now laughing all the time, smiling all the time, can grab her toys and of course put them into her mouth. (She might have stated teething). She loves her pacifer but she likes her thumb more(not to sure about that). She loves to grab hair and she is sleeping all night! Yes all night! From 9pm to 5-6 in the morning!! She enjoys music so much more and laughs when you sing to her. She is now rolling over and pushing herself all over the place. She does not stay in the sme place you put her for very long. She still does not like shoes or socks on her feet and will do everything to get them off. She is our joy and we are so glad my family can come and spend her first christmas with us in our home. (They are all coming Thursday) so excited!!

My cute little girl is growing and getting bigger and it is exciting and sad all at the same time! Pictures will be coming!! I left our camera in NM at thanksgiving so we are waiting to get it back from my parents!! The camera we have does not load onto the computer!! so they will come!!

well for those of you who know I husband you will understand but for those who do not i will explain! My husband is in love with Jimi Hendrix! I told him when we first got married that I was his second love! All tyler wears is Jimi Hendrix t-shirts and he has lots and lots of jimi hendrix stuff!! We even have a spare bedroom that is decorated to Jimi Hendrix!! So when I found out I was preganent Tyler got online and ordered the baby a outfit! He didn't care if it was a boy or girl they were going to wear this outfit! Ashley was so little that she has not been able to fit into her outfit before now and while I was at work yesterday I got this picture!!

Well of course Tyler got it out and put it on her while i was at work!! So I got home and made her a headband so that she would not look like a boy! She is so cute!! I told Tyler she could wear it as long as she has a bow on her head so people do not think that she is boy!

I am so excited for Christmas! I love the Holidays! Ashley loves to look at the lights on the Christmas tree!! All we have now is to finish our Shopping which I aso love to do and I know it is not one of Tyler's favorite things this time of year! Maybe that is why he is doing most of the shopping online this year! Here is a picture of our Christmas tree and i am sure there will be more to come!!

We are only a little late on this post! We got to travel to farmington for thanksgiving! Tyler and I were not too sure how she would do on her first road trip! She was great sleept the whole way there and back! She is such a good girl! We so excited to be able to see lots of family and to be able to spend a long weekend with them! We are staying in Mesa for Christmas so it was good that we got the chance to see everyone for Thanksgiving! We did not get any pictures of our trip or her the whole weekend which is sad too much going on I guess!! This picture is us at the park a couple of days before we left! It was 80 degrees outside. 2 month check up

We had Ashley's 2 month check up today! She is 10 weeks now!!
She now weighs
10lbs 12 oz- 50% avg to other little ones
23 1/2 Ins- 90% really tall compared to other little ones
She has gotten so big! She is eating good and it shows!! She is also growing out of outfits because she is too tall for them!! Not that she is too big in any other way for them!
She also got 5 shots today too and she did not like that at all!! She cried and cried and would not stop until we left the dr. office! Poor thing!! She is so cute and it was hard on Tyler and I to have to watch her go through that!!
We are thankful she is doing so good! I just can't believe she will be three months in 2 weeks!!

Sleeping in her own room!!

Last night was a first! Ashley sleept in her own room for the first time! She has gotten so big that he craddle is getting almost too small! She would last another month if I wanted her too I guess! But Tyler wants her to get used to sleeping in her own room! We both thought she would hate it and we would be up all night trying to get her sleep in her crib! Boy were we wrong! She fell asleep really quit and stayed asleep and almost sleep better than in our room! It was such a good night! She even slept in!! Tyler and I were so excited that we didn't have to get up at 6-7 in the morning! We got to sleep until 8:30!! (Which is sleeping in now) She is such a good little girl and we are blessed to have her with us!! We are just hoping that she keeps sleeping good in her own room!!

I returned to working last Wednesday and It has been hard at times and it makes it even harder when our little girl does not want to sleep at night! I found my self sleeping on the couch and her in her rocker all night! I was not getting very good sleep that way! The other night Tyler decided he was going to try and help me get more sleep! Since Tyler does not go to bed before midnight most of the time anyways, and that is about the time she wakes up hungry first in the night. He decided to get her up and feed her and put her back to bed so that I could get the rest I needed for the next day! I took care of the other feedings but It was so nice to be able to sleep for 5 hours and for him to take care of her! I love him and he is such a great help to me and I don't know what I or Ashley ( who really loves her daddy) would do with out him. She has been sleeping really good that last two night and I think it is due to the change in my diet! I hope she keeps it up and continues to get good sleep so that way Tyler and I can also! Tyler has been home with her all day with out me and he has learned that she can be a lot of work but it is so much fun! All you want to do is talk and play with our little one all day. Again I am so thankful for my wonderful Husband.

We Blessed our Little Ashley on Sunday Oct. 11th!! What a wonderful weekend! We got to see lots of family and we are so grateful for all the family traveling to see our little one! Most of Tyler's family got to come except Lisa and Alan who we really missed!! Steve and his family came from Springcity, UT which is by Manti. Tyler's mother and Joe and Kyla, Tyler's dad and Cindy all came from Farmington. Most of my family also got to come! Derek and Amanda came down from Idaio, My mom and dad and Dalin, Tammi and Rusty and there wonderful kids, Grandma P. and Papa, Grandma W. all came from Farmington also! We had everyone over on Saturday night and all the kids got to go swimming and we had cake and Ice cream to celebrate Tyler and I birthdays!! Sunday was Ashley's special day! She was so good and My husband did amazing job with the blessing. I am so thankful for him and what he means to his family and for a husband that can bless our little girl!! After the Blessing we had everyone come back to our house for Breakfest (since church was so early and people needed to get on the road we decided to have Breakfest). Lots of family who live in the area also got to come over. Michelle and her family, Tonya and her family, Shirette and Leroy, all came from the other side of the valley.Brandon and Krystal, Shirland and his family and Tori and Raith and their family also got to come over also. Sunday was an all day Party. A lot of family had to get on the road and head home but for those who didn't we they all hung around and had diner later that night! I am so thankful for a wonderful family and for the love and support they give Tyler and I!

Tyler and I both had good B-days!! Tyler had to work on my birthday so he bought me some flowers and Krystal came to stay the weekend with us and took me out to eat! It was nice to have the chance to sit down and talk to krystal now that she does live on this side of town we don't spend as much time with her.

Tyler had school all day and work all night on his birthday so I made him Dr. Pepper Cake for his short break and while he was a work I got the chance I finished his Birthday gift

. Our spare bedroom is all Jimi Hendrix so I thought it needed a little more and of course Tyler loved it! Happy Birthday to us!! Tyler is 30 years old!!! Our best gift came a month before though!! Our little sweetheart Ashley!!

Things I have learned now that I am a mom!

....My mom is Amazing!! (well I knew that before but she was a wonderful help after ashley was born and we miss her and I am sure glad she was here)

....I worry so much more! I wake at the smallest noise wondering if she is ok!!
....Sleeping is done whenever I get a chance! Not always at night!!
....My husband is a great help but can't do a whole lot during the night when all she wants to do is eat!!

....Girls are way too much fun to dress and put bows on!!!! (even though she doesn't fit into any of her cute newborn cloths yet)

.....Being a MOM is awesome!!! I don't know what I would do with out Ashley!!

Well she finnally decided to come out and meet the world. Ashley Lynn Christiansen was born on Saturday 9/5/09 @ 5:54am 6 pds 2oz and 19 1/2 in long. She is so pretty and healthy. We went to the hospital after my water broke at 7 pm on friday. My mother had decided to come to az on Friday cause I was most likey going to be induced Today, but we didn't have to wait that long.

It was a very long night but I was so glad when it was all done and over with. I keep crying cause I was so happy she was finnally here!

Here is our first family picture taken! She was so awake and aware of what was going on around her.

I love this picture of daddy and his little girl! She is just looking up at him! She got really yellow and her count was high so we had to stay in the hospital a extra day so that she could be put under a blue light to get her color good. We got to come home today and we were so glad to be home. She such a good baby so far! She sleeps really good and all the nurses said she was one of the best babies! More pictures are sure to come of our sweet little miss.

Waiting Game!

Well only 10 more days left until I am due! If I do not have her before the Sept 6th than I will be induced that same week! So at the most I only have two more weeks to go! We are still hoping that she will come soon!! Little by little she is coming closer to having her in our arms!

Tyler started school on Monday and it has already been a long week for him. It will be a long semester for him with a new baby at home also! Tyler is going to Mesa Community College to be a engineer. He has at least three years ahead of him and lots of classes! I am excited for him to be going to back to school.

Well we will keep you updated and hopefully the next time I post it will have pictures of our baby!

Well I am now 35 weeks and only have 5 more weeks give or take! I am getting really excited and really tired! We are finally almost ready for her to be here! We got her room all put together and it is so cute. Makes me smile everyday when I walk past the room. We still have a few small things to get at the store! Thanks to my wonderful sister in law and mom! My baby shower in AZ turned out really good! We had a lot of fun. We planned games and ate great food and had a really good time. It is funny to see when everyone thinks I will be having the baby! So I decided I would ask every one else to guess a day! When do you think Ashley will make her appearance? I have heard as early as Aug. 20th to as late as Sept. 18th!! Oh and I am due on Sept 6, for those who have forgotten who would like to guess! Only 61/2 weeks to go well give or take a couple of weeks!!

Baby Shower #1

This past weekend we got the chance to go to New Mexico and spend some time with family. My mom and anut Tammi and Grandma Paulson throw me a baby shower and it was so nice! We had it at Lola Brown's house and it was nice to be able to meet with lots of family and get together and celebrate the coming of our Ashley. Only 8 more weeks! We got some really good stuff and lots of really cute clothes. She will be a very well dresses spoiled little girl! The one thing I didn't have or any one else for that matter was a camera so no pictures!! Thank you to all of you who were able to make it!

Little Kicks

Well things are going really good here but not a whole lot going on right now any ways! I am now almost 31 weeks and 3 days and only 2 months to go or 8 1/2 weeks left! I am so excited to have her in our arms! The closer I get to my due date the more I smile and am so excited! She is always moving and it is nice to know she is in there! She kicks a little hard at time but I think it is just a reminder she is coming soon! Today I had a Dr. Apt and it was so funny she kicked the dr. everytime the dr had her hands on my belly! Everything is going good no problems or concerns. Only 2 more months!! Maybe earlier or maybe later!!

Weekend in Farmington

Tyler and I got to go to Farmington for my cousin Kaitlin's wedding reception. It was a very short weekend but it was good to see family we have not been able to see in a while. We got to go out to eat with Tyler's brothers and sister and than see all the whipple's from kirtland. We are glad that we are home but will be ready to go back to farmington for a Baby shower in July!

Well I am 25 weeks this week! I am doing really good and have not had too many problems at all! I am more tired than before but that is ok! Here are some Picture of what I am starting to look like! Getting bigger and bigger everyday! She is a wiggle worm already too! She moves a lot!

Well we finally got all moved and we are now into our new place! We went from a 900 sq foot apartment with bad neighbors to a 1900 sq foot house in a great area! We are still decorating and getting things set up but It is so much better for us to be in a house! I can't wait to start setting up our little girls room!! New Home to start our New Family in!

Weekend in San Diego

Tyler and I decided to get out town and drive to San Diego, CA for our 2 year anniversary! Well it is not until tomorrow but we wanted to have a fun trip! We decided to spend our time on the beach and going to the temple! I would have to say it was a very nice and relaxing weekend! I can not believe it has already been two years! Tyler and I have really enjoyed our time together! We are excited to spend many more years together and now we will have a little one to celebrate with us next year. I am so thankful for Tyler and for his Love!

The San Diego Temple is so Pretty! The stained glass has blue in it and shine with the light and really reflects true beauty! It really was worth the drive! We decided to go to the Temple over everything else and I am sure glad we got to be able to go to a Temple we have never been before! Temples are amazing!

The Beach was a little cold! We decided to just spend the day walking up and down the beach and Ty was the only brave one to get in the water! Well his feet anyways! We went and stayed off of Mission Bay which is a awesome place to be! Lots of beach and lakes! It is also the same place where Sea World is located! I am glad we got to spend time with each other most of all!
