Busy Months

My Cousin Maquel is going on a Mission to New Zealand and she came up to UT to go thru the temple in April and it was a great day. I got to see a lot of family and it was so nice to be in the temple with so much family. I am excited for her and know she will be an awesome missionary.

April 28 was Tyler's and mine 6 year anniversary. I can't believe it has been six years of wonderfulness. I couldn't be more happy to have a wonderful husband who is my best friend. I think the song lucky is prefect to fit what i think.

Than Tyler had eye surgery. So I figured I would start by telling everyone about What happened to Tyler's eye and how it has gotten him where we are today.

Seven Years ago, before Tyler and I had meet, he was playing dodge ball for a FHE activity in Farmington. He was hit in the head well eye with the small dodge ball. The impact torn and shredded his retina  He was not able to see out of the eye and after going to the doctor was sent in for surgery to try and correct the problem. The surgery did not work and he was taken in for a second surgery to try and fix the problem. It was after this surgery that I meet Tyler. He came into Applebee's where we both worked just never together yet. His eye looked really bad and yet again it did not do anything to fix the problem. He continued to have four more surgeries which did not bring back any vision. The last surgery he had was right after we got married and the only reason it was done to help the eye from dying any quicker. To give him time before he would need to get it replaced. The eye was still slowly dying and was causing Tyler pain on almost a daily basic. He has lived with this pain for all these years since getting hit and we finally decided to get something done about it. He was seen and INS gave us the ok to have the surgery done so that is what he did on Thursday. He had his eye removed, than a plastic ball was put in his eye and the muscles were attached to it. Then they removed a piece of skin and fat from Tyler's side and placed it in the eye to cushion everything. In about two months after the swelling and everything is ok with the eye he will be fitted for a personal fake eye. That day was really hard. He came out of surgery not doing very well and between being sick and the pain it was a hard day. I am not used to having to take care of him. Friday was a lot better as long as the pain was managed. Saturday and Today are even better than the previous days. Thanks to wonderful family for babysitting and bring food and love and support this has gone really well so far. I am grateful for our family and friends.

And now we are planning a trip to farmington to Jameson's 1st birthday and Maquel farewell this coming friday. I can't believe my little man is turning 1 already! I will post more after our little trip and more about Jameson's birthday.
