Tis the Season

What a wonderful time of year! I love Christmas and all that comes with it. Crafts and cooking and parties and so and so on and so on. We decided to make our own ordaments and let Ashley paint them and she loved it.

 

It snowed last night and Ashley finnally got to play in the snow. We got something like 5inches and it is still snowing but we are really enjoying it so far. It is cold but not too too bad yet. Ashley is loving the snow more and more each day.

We went downtown SLC to walk around the temple to see the Christmas lights. Ashley loved to be there and see the pretty temple and all the lights. It was really busy but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Tonight we had our ward Christmas party which was really nice. We got to know more people in our ward a little more and enjoyed some really good food and of course Santa.

We told Ashley Santa was going to come and she said she was going to sit on his lap this time. (We went to the mall and she refused to sit on his lap only wanted to tell him hi)

Santa came into the room and Ashley got really excited and looked at me and Said "mom Santa is here he is here." She waiting in line and was every excited walked up to santa and sat on his lap and was very excited about it the whole time. I don't think she said a word to him the whole time but she sat on his lap so it is an improvement.

 We do have a good ward we came out to guys cleaning the snow off our van and helping us out. I am thankful for people that are willing to serve and help us in the snow.

 

Thanksgiving

I forgot to post about Thanksgiving!
My wonderful parents got to come to AZ to spend Thanksgiving with us! Brandon came from Reno and his wife from Tucsan and we had diner at my uncle Shirlands house. Thankful for wonderful family that we will miss now that we are not living in AZ. Anut Tonya and Aunt Shirette and their families also were there. We also went and walked around the Mesa Temple for the last time before we moved.

Utah/ Christmas stuff/ Jameson 7 months

Utah

Well we finally made it to Utah! We got here on Saturday the 1st of Dec and so far we are loving it. We are very sad about the people we left behind like my grandpa who we will miss living close to! We got moved into our new house the day we got here and it was not to cold than. Now a week later it is a lot colder than what we have been used to over the past four years. 60 degrees to 30 degrees in one week!

This first picture is the view of the front of our house. The secound is the backyard area and the amazing view from our backyard. Love the mountains and how close they are to us. Both of these pictures were taken the day we moved in on Dec. 1st.

The next picture was taken this past weekend we only got like 2 inches but to us who have not lived in snow at all for the past four years it was a lot. Ashley loved it and we had to go buy snow clothes for ashley cause she is really wanting to play in the snow. But today the snow melted so she will have to wait until the next snow comes!

 Christmas

 Now that we got the boxes unpacked we decided to do some Christmas Crafts! We did reindeer hat and also reindeer made out of her foot and hand print and she loved them. I am hoping to continue and do more crafts and baking with Ashley until Christmas. She is so into Christmas this year for the first time really and it has been so much fun. She loved to see Santa at the mall even though she would not sit on his lap she just wanted to tell him hi a lot.

She is always getting on Jameson and well she loves it and laughs so hard.

Jameson 7 months old

 

Well Jameson is now 7 months old as of yesterday! How the time flies when you enjoying life I guess! He is such a joy in our family and we are all in love with this boy.

• He is still not sitting completely on his own. He gets too excited about wanted to be on the ground that he throws himself back or tries to get to his belly.
• He is a busy little man. He loved to be going and going and playing with whatever he can find.
• He has began to try and master to crawl. He gets on all fours and tries and might move forward a little bit but ends up pushing himself backwards. He has found if he really wants something he can roll over to get to it faster after trying to crawl for it.
• He is still growing and getting bigger. I think he really did not wear 3-6 month old clothes for very long! He was in 0-3 up until 5 months and now he is in 6-9 month clothes!
• He has two teeth and loved to bite whatever he can put in his mouth and believe me he can bite hard. If you sit with toes too close to his mouth he will bite them or grab your fingers and try and bite those.
• He is always smiling and loves his sister. He smiles everytime she walks in the room.
• He is a good eater! He will eat babyfood like crazy and has loved almost everything we have given him. He does not like greenbeans though!!

Over all he is still our happy and easy little boy and we don't know what we would do without him!

6 months

Jameson is now 6 month old now! Wow half a year already!

Weights 14 lbs 11 oz- 10%

• He is now sleep better but still wakes up 1 time during the night. Still sleeping 6-8 hours at a time though!
• He can get up on all fours and has a time or two moved a little but that is all. He will be crawling soon I fear.
• He has 1 tooth. Yes 1 tooth at 6 months old it came in one Sunday 11/11/12 and he is currently working on the other tooth.
• He is a very happy smily and good little boy. He is still happy 90% of the time and I love it. I think Ashley cries more than he does sometimes.
• He is really good with his hands and can pick up almost anything and put it in his mouth. He will roll or pull himself around the room to get to whatever it is that he wants in the room.
• He is eating solids and loves them.

Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun. It is one of my favorite holidays and having kids to dress up means even more fun for me. Ashley was Audry Hepbrun and Jameson was a homeless little guy/ bum/ hobo or whatever you want to call it. Tyler and I were rockers for the ward trunk or treat.

BYU

Well my amazing husband got accepted into BYU! So we will be moving to Utah! lets just start by saying I don't change and I don't like moving! So here we are planning on moving again. This move is  a lot different. We have lived in the same place for almost 4 years and have more than doubled our stuff. We now have 2 more kids than we did moving into this house. So now we have to sell stuff and move 15 hours away! Crazy I know! I am so very proud of Tyler for getting into BYU but scaried and excited and very mixed feeling going on right now. No set day to move yet and we are still deciding where to live but BYU here we come!

Make-up

I know I am doing it again where I post more than one post in one day but I have to do it while I have time and energy and well remember to do it.



 Ashley loves make-up and every time I put make-up on she will sit and observe and sometimes she will ask if she can have eyes or lips on. Well I always put her to bed and then nurse Jameson and put him to bed. I heard her get out of bed and what I thought was her going back to bed, nope. She was in my room playing with my make-up on my bed. Make-up was everywhere! She was covered the bed was covered and well she knew she was in trouble right away. I didn't even have to say anything and she was crying and saying "I am sorry mommy." Well she was so covered she had to be scrubbed in the shower. Here are some pictures of her fun make-up experience. They are sad pictures and she was very upset only because she got caught!

Oh and my make-up is detroyed. So I am going to have to go buy new eyeshadow! So that is why I have not worn eyeshadow lately!

5 months old already

Jameson is now 5 months old and we are loving him more and more each day. He had an evaluation last week with what is called the EDGE Clinic. It is made up of physical therapists and Neuro. doctors who both are specialized in development of babies. He was referred to this clinic after he was born as a way to keep track of him and how he is doing. After Jameson was born a MRI was done on him and it showed some places that he might later in life have trouble with. He is at risk for muscle problems. All of this happened due to him not getting oxygen to the brain since he was not breathing. Well the neuro doctor came in and checked him out and then the physical therapist came in and checked him out and did some exercises with him. After which they both came in to explain what they found which was nothing. They said he is doing great! With this clinic if he did show any signs of problems in any way they would then get him the help he would need to over come the problems. If anything is going to start happening the best thing we can do is get him help to over come it early. I am thankful for programs like this and even more thankful for good results. He is a healthy little boy who is growing as he should if not better. He is ahead and I am very proud of him. I reflect on the day he was born a lot and how thank I am for him and how far he has come from that day. I still believe he is doing so good due to the blessing he received the day he was born. I know heavenly father is mindful of us and knows us. I look forward to him growing and over coming everything as he grows. He will be checked up again by the nurses and neuro next month for a 6 month old check up and then again when he is 12 months old. I hate that he is growing fast but at the same time I love to see him grow and be strong.
Some things he is doing now at 5 months

• rolling over like crazy.
• pulling himself across the floor. Not crawling just pulling with his arms. So between the rolling and pulling he is never in the same place for very long.
• Sleep not so good lately. We are working on it! Not sure what is going on he is just so gassy at night and it keeps waking him up I think? We are trying to get to the bottom of it. Some nights he wakes only 1 time and other nights it is like 6 times. I prefer the 1 time and I like my sleep so it is hard to do the 6 times.
• We did start him on rice cereal per his doctor but stopped due to it making him even more gassy. We are waiting and maybe try oatmeal.
• She has the cutes smile and laugh and loves and I do mean loves his big sister. He laughs at her and loves to pull her hair to get her closer to him. Ashley on the other had does not like the hair pulling, but loves him back.

 5 months is crazy but he will be 6 soon and so on and so on!

Whats up?

Well 3 posts in one day sorry!! Just getting all updated while I still have time this morning and while I remember!

What is up with the Christiansen Family lately. We have been staying busy and living life. Tyler is still working a boeing on the Apache line building the Apache helicopter. He loves he job and the experiences he is learning. He has new stories and experences to tell me almost everyweek about something he has learned while at work. He has also applied to BYU for Industral design for the Winter semester which starts in January. We are doing the waiting game to find out. The deadline to let us know is the end of Oct! So we may or may not be moving to Utah depending on BYU! We will keep everyone updated when we find out!

I am still at stay at home mom full time and loving every little bit of it. I love to be home with the kids all day and to see the kids grow and learn. I returned to work when Ashley was 6 weeks old and worked until about a year ago. I realized that it like starting over with Jameson because I was not home with Ashley sometimes I feel like a first time mom in some ways. Tyler works afternoons and loves that he can be home with us during the day and enjoy the day with us. Sometimes I miss him being home for diner and spending time with him after the kids go to bed but it works out him being home during the day. I am also going to school full time all online which I do when I can. I don't have a ton of work due everyweek which is nice. I have nap times, after kids go to bed and weekends when Tyler is home more to do my homework! I enjoy going to school and get closer and closer to being done.

Ashley who is 3 now is going to a preschool group now. We started a pre-school group with 4 other kids that are in our ward and live in our neighborhood. We trade houses everyweek and have all 5 kids at our house everythursday for 2 1/2 hours. She loves it and looks forward to it every week. She loves her friends and loves to be able to spend time with them outside of church.

Jameson still has lots of doctors and nurses visits to keep checking to make sure he is growing as he is supposed to. He will have another phyical Theapy check up in a couple of weeks to make sure his musacles are doing good. Then in Nov the nurse comes to visit again at our house to check his development then he will see his neuro doctor again to follow-up again on his brain, and of course his 6 month check up will also be in nov. So far he has proven the doctors wrong and shown them that everything they said would happen and he would have problems with has not happened yet. The doctors visits are so we can keep up on everything to make sure to catch it early.

All in all we are crazy as ever and enjoying life together! Can't wait for Tyler sister Lisa to have her baby and my sister in law Krystal to also have her baby! Both due in the next couple of weeks!

4 months old

Jameson was 4 months old on the 10th of Sept! I know I am a little late on this months posts. Jameson is such a fun happy little boy and i love to spend my day seeing his smiling face. When I say a good boy I really do mean it. He hardly ever crys and loves to play on his mat on the floor or with his sister. He will smile and talk to you and is almost always in a happy mood. The only time he crys is when he is tried and wants to take a nap other in that he is always smiling. He is growing and continuing to show the doctors that everything he went through at birth. He is continuing to amazing all of us. He has been roling over both ways for about a month now and he loves to roll to get to a new area. He will never be in the same place on the floor after a few mins. He loves his sister and laughs at her often.
